| Do you have any comments? | Thanks for posting the movies. Hope you'll do more in the future. Several suggestions. Make the screen bigger. 200 x 250 would be a lot bigger, and many of us are used to downloads taking over one hour. And who knows, although I was one of the first to have fiber optic cable in the state, the cable company has not yet seen fit to put a switch on this branch so that I can have cable modem. And we're scheduled for DSL in about 20 years. Put up mile markers inside the tunnels... Add some incandescent lighting for the mountain division. The color resulting from those fluorescent really s...s. How about mounting a video cam light on the loco. There's plenty of room in a gondola or flat car behind for a battery. You probably need to disable the automatic exposure control on the camera for the entirety of each video. You probably need to forget about the radio link from the camera. Why not just use a camcorder mounted on a flatcar in front of the loco. Did I mention that I really have enjoyed what I've seen of your web site so far. Have spent three nights pouring through it, and there's just so much to see. I've had an idea for years about putting a big mountain in a basement, and having a track wind up the outside of the mountain, carrying empty cars from the mill to the mine. The train would enter the mine and stop, then come out laden with ore. But, there would be a second track hidden inside the mine, and it would carry the entire empty train back down to the mill. And later, the full train would enter the mill, the empty train would come out, and the full train would wind around inside the mountain back to the mine.... Keep up the good work. Tom |

| Do you have any comments? | Hello George, You Tech Tips were of great help to me! Particularly when converting the couplings on the Bachmann Climax - I still would be searching for the fastening element of the draw bars behind that little plate, if you would not have given the hint in your description. I also have converted the Bachmann Consolidation to LGB-couplers. The approach is somewhat different than Shay and Climax as the draw bar with its integrated centering springs is (at least for me) new design. If you are interested, I will document the conversion after XMAS NEW YEAR and provide engl. narrative text, sketches, and pictures to you for publishing purposes. This way it would be a "Give-and-Take situation" for information exchange amongst "Large-Scalers". Awaiting your esteemed reply. | Do you have any comments? | I really enjoy your web site. What an incredible amount of work you have put into your hobby! A minor correction on your trip to Alaska. You stated that "Coal is also hauled south to Anchorage for the same reason and much of it goes all the way to Seward to be loaded on ships bound for Korea." Anchorage does not use any of this coal. Electricity in Anchorage is supplied by Municipal Light and Power, a city owned utility, and Chugach Electric, a co-op. ML&P has gas fired plants in Anchorage, Chugach's plants are also gas fired, and are located about 40 miles south of Anchorage by the Beluga gas fields. |

| Do you have any comments? | I discovered your web-site when I was looking to scratch build a bridge for my G scale Artisto heavy weight set. I have built the Howe truss bridge. I am very pleased with the results. I also used the information on the web pages to install Kadees on my heavyweights. I pulled the cars closer together to be more realistic. I am having problems, however, in putting a Kadee on tender to Pacific engine. Looking for a cure! Keep up the web-site. Really enjoy it. |

| Do you have any comments? | I enjoyed your photos of Alaska - In the early '80s my address was mile 239.5 Alaska Railroad. We lived 14+ mils from the nearest road, had no electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing... When you wanted a shower you'd catch the southbound to Talkeetna drive to the Montana Creek Lodge, pay a dollar and heaven! a hot shower!!! The next day you'd reverse the process, as the passenger trains only ran once a day each way. Thanks for awakening some wonderful memories. |

| Where are you from? | Netherlands |
| Do you have any comments? | Great site, very useful in addition to less then great documentation from Aristocraft. I have a question/problem. I shorted my Receiver when using my multimeter on the tracks. It made a strange noise and the power to the track was gone. I think that at first only one direction was damaged. When i switched direction on the transmitter I really blew it... some small device completely melted away (i had the cover off by now so i saw it happen). And all that after i had the thing for two weeks. To make a long story short; I need the schematics for the electronics so i can try and find a shop that can repair the damage. Can anybody help me!? |

| Do you have any comments? | I am a newbie. Purchased an Aristo SD-45. Awesome! I'm not too good in electrical/electronics tho. No smoke so noticed the black wire from the PC board was never stripped at end nor soldered to PC. I'll attempt but do I need a certain type of solder. Don't want to zap the PC. Also, want to install DCC & sound. Connections look like only plug-ins. Do I also have to do some wiring of some kind? |
